From the work plan and the results published by the Grupo de Documentación Mecanizada, the initial questions formulated for the application of computers in the Argentine library field are recognized. It is possible to recognize in these first reflections by professionals of Librarianship and Documentation, the constitution of solid bases for the developments of Information Sciences in the last decades of the 20th century.
