Abstract

A quality university education requires preparing students to develop skills related to their future professional life and to be able to solve problems in their community, identifying needs and offering viable, feasible and innovative technological solutions. Next, a pedagogical experience in the 5th year Management Administration course is reported. year of the Information Systems Engineering degree, which uses the Design Thinking methodology to formulate innovative solutions with social impact to complex problems, in which student-centered learning is applied and allows them to develop digital skills, such as the management of projects, critical thinking and creativity to solve problems. It has been verified that, with the use of the methodology, students are provided with the construction and validation of their products and/or services oriented to satisfy the needs of the users, for this it is necessary to carry out a previous investigation, interviews and interact with the recipients of the solution, and then define the design challenge to be solved throughout the process. The benefits of using this methodology from the voices of the protagonists themselves are reported below.
